Health & Safety Manager

Our client, a leading Utility Infrastructure company with projects across Canada, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Vaughan, Ont.

Here is an exciting opportunity to join a leader in their space, getting to help reshape their safety program with the help of your team and through company support. You will report into the Vice-President of HSE.

Responsibilities:
- Build, improve, implement where needed on existing program;
- Be the go-to problem-solver Health & Safety expert that the client and their crews require;
- Liaise with the client and other relevant partners;
- Boots on the ground manager that helps to oversee all aspects of their projects;

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of safety experience, with at least 2 years in a management position;
- Experience overseeing a portfolio of projects worth over 80+ million dollars (Utility Infrastructure would be preferred but other Infrastructure Construction experience will be considered);
- Formal safety education and certifications/designations are preferred;
- Experience supervising 1-2 direct reports and overseeing large numbers of crews spread across Ontario;

***The position requires 20-25% overnight travel in and around Ontario. 50% of time in office, rest of time in and around the GTA/southern Ontario on day-trips.***
