Process Design & Detail Engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, Process Optimization, sizing & selection of equipments etc. for Tenders (as required) and for awarded Projects. Review of Clients tender documents, specifications, datasheets, verification of FEED design & calculations.
Preparation of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, P & I Diagrams, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, HAZOP Studies & reports, Operation & maintenance manuals etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to the other disciplines and other departments.
To ensure proper division of work & responsibility among the process engineers, providing proper guidance & integration of work done, ensuring good, positive & healthy working nature among the team of engineers to ensure optimum productivity & efficiency.
Preparation & Issue of RFQ's, evaluation of vendor's quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc.
Review of vendor's documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations.
Prepare equipment specifications;
Design hydraulic systems;
Calculate end design for piping;
Revise manufacturer designs;

Basic & detail Design Engineering activities for the assigned project(s) in Petrochemical Plants, Oil & Gas Plants, in accordance with the Company established procedures.
Activity planning, work scheduling, assigning responsibilities to Engineers & Draftsmen, and monitoring to meet the project schedule with resource optimization
Preparation / review of PFD, P&ID's, project specific specifications, design calculation / analysis, procurement specification.
Interface with other disciplines, user departments and Clients.
Estimation / engineering work related to bids.
Use of HYSIS, FLARENET, HTRI, PALS2000, Thermoflow, Phatom, EDR, Instrucalc, Valvspec
Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical, Process or Chemical engineering;
Minimum 10 years' experience working in the engineering industry
Knowledge of design and calculation tools;
Fluent English and Spanish
As Lead Process Engineer should have overall responsibility for all Process Engineering activities on the project. Between those the following can be emphasized:
Understanding and applying the contract basis in the project Baseline in order to fulfill requirements related to the process design and process performance guarantees
Executing the technical aspects of the work in accordance with the requirements of the project Baseline, including the capital and services cost estimate, contract, scope of facilities and services
Maintaining a Baseline, managing to the approved Process Engineering budget, scope and schedule
Implementing the project change management procedures proactively
Developing and executing the most cost-effective, fit-for-purpose total project solution for the Client in accordance with the project Baseline
Working with the Client to develop the basic design criteria for the process
Developing major front-end deliverables including heat and material balance, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), utility balances, block flow diagrams, equipment and instrument datasheets, line lists, performing calculations for complex systems, evaluating alternatives for control strategies (Control & Safeguarding Philosophy), assisting with development of turnover packages, etc
Ensuring quality, safety, operability and technical integrity of the process design
Ensuring appropriate handling of proprietary information
