Installation Superintendent

TRS Staffing Solutions has been entrusted by one of the major renewable energy construction companies to recruit an Installation Superintendent for their renewable construction projects in Western Canada. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong competence in the field carrying out and overseeing construction of installations on wind turbine systems.

Job Description:
• Ensure that subcontractors complete their work in a timely manner and organize all construction activities
• Communicate to trades and subcontractors the scope of work and keep a daily log of all site activities
• Oversee any inspections carried out by field engineers and subcontractors
• Ensure weekly and monthly reports are updated at all times
• Confirm that all timesheets are filled and collected daily
• Ensure material orders are checked and prepared accordingly
• Attend all project meetings
• Mentor assistant superintendents and foremen on site

Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education and technical trade certifications/diploma
• 10+ years of experience in a similar capacity in the construction industry
• Experience with installing wind turbines, using large cranes, working with heavy haul machinery
• Valid driver license
• Ability to travel to construction site on rotation
• Ability to manage a group field staff and delegate duties, guidance as required.
