Our client, a group of heavy transportation dealers, is seeking a Junior Developer to join their team. Their job is to pair with leads, architects and other team members. Junior Developers should strive to gain as much exposure and understanding as possible to all layers of the stack, programming paradigms and practices. A junior developer should look to focus on a single layer, language and tool set of the stack. A junior developer should be able to identify components of the application and infrastructure in their domain. Junior Developers are expected to learn the proper lexicon and terminology for the domains they work in. Junior Developers are expected to ask questions until their understanding of a subject matter is clear for their purposes.

Responsibilities and Duties

•pair with other developers and learn the software development process and life cycle of a feature request
•Continue to learn and hone skills as software engineer
•Focus on depth of knowledge and expertise in a certain language, tool set and area of the stack
•Raise questions and clarify any ambiguity the junior developer has with an idea or process
•Hunt and fix bugs
•Evaluate, assess and recommend software solutions
•Design and model solutions that fit the problem
•Develop, and test enterprise C# applications
•Work as a member of project teams to implement designs to meet customer requirements
•Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent coding and application development abilities
•The confidence to express ideas as part of a creative team
•A clear and genuine interest in technological trends
•The ability to meet deadlines and think strategically
•A passionate approach to work with a desire to push boundaries
•The ability to explain technical jargon to peers and the ability to build a website from start to finish to the highest standards
•Working hours may not always fall into the regular M-F, 8-5 pattern, so a willingness to be flexible in order to meet expectations and deadlines will be required.

Education & Experience
•Bachelor's degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering
•2+ years of software development experience, preferably using Agile methodology
•2+ years of C# .NET experience
•2+ years of SQL database experience writing complex queries, triggers, functions and stored procedures
•Experience in .NET Framework 4.0 or higher
•Full life cycle development experience
•Relational database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL
•WPF and Windows forms experience
•Unit testing experience
•Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
•Microsoft Team Foundation Server experience
•Visual Studio 2010+ experience
•SSRS experience a plus
•Microsoft Developer Certification a plus
•Accounting system development experience a plus
•Point of Sale application development experience a plus
•Mid-tier financial transaction system development experience a plus
