Role: Reporting Site Logistics Manager
Salary: £50000-60000 + Benefits
Location: Hull

Site Logistics Manager required for a large oil and gas operator. The role is based in Hull, driving safety, on time and logistics cost performance. This includes; the delivery of efficient operations, reacting to changes in the customer base and identifying opportunities to optimize the supply chain. The role requires an experienced logistics professional that can ensure that customer expectations are met through delivery of a fit for purpose logistics organization. The post holder requires an expert knowledge of logistics across multiple delivery modes, and the ability to solve multifaceted delivery issues at a tactical level while having the capacity to identify optimization opportunities at a structural, global, level. A deep understanding of logistics markets, specific product safety requirements is essential as well as a firm grasp of logistics processes and LSP, (Logistics Service Provider), management.
Accountabilities of the job
• Delivery of a safe, efficient supply chain, including shipping, off-site storage, road, rail and intermodal logistics services. With the aim to drive ontime performance to inexcess of 97%.
• Driving longer term supply chain strategy linked to the optimisation and evolution of European and Global product flows.
• Owner of providing supply chain infastructure that preserves product quality
• Operational ownership of all logistics contracts.
• Ownership of product quality, including the site ISO 90001 accreditation and the complaints process.
• Responsible for meeting legal, fiscal, and quality requirments of the logistics operations.
• Lead the supply chain input into the financial planning cycle, annual plan and in-year forecasts including the maintenance of the cost to serve model.

Technical Skills required
• Degree education ideally in a either logistics / supply chain
• Leadership in a commercial operations environment with deep understanding of complex multimodal logistics and supply chain operations.
• Track record of delivery with performance bias and ability to lead a team to deliver objectives safely, on budget and on schedule.
• Detailed knowledge of the levers available to deliver financial targets. These include procurement, cost management, and working in partnership with service providers to deliver innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of documentation requirements for transporting chemicals within Europe and imports and exports to/from Europe and an understanding of the processes to ensure compliance.
• Deep understanding of the applicable laws of the land with respect to commercial logistics operations.
