We currently seek a Logistics / Technical Buyer on a contract to hire basis within our client's team of experienced professionals. This position involves, but is not limited to, responsibilities within the Logistics department, consisting of procurement of required parts for customer orders and supplies to support the facility and provide interdepartmental technical support. Based in Duncan, SC you will be working for one of the world's leading manufacturing organizations.
Material Master Setup & maintenance
Purchasing Requisition processing
Domestic and International PO creation, and working with other teams to resolve issues with any PO's
Supplier chain development (Couplings, Lubrication Systems, Bearings, Base Frames, Motors etc).
Supplier assessments & Resolve non-conformance part issues with suppliers
Coordinate subcontracting process with suppliers
Coordinate Import shipments from Company affiliates
Process Company Affiliate invoices, post GR, create inbound deliveries
Process bulk issue sheet
Generate inventory analysis reports within SAP for safety stock analysis
Provide Engineering/technical assistance within the department
Perform other tasks as requested
Ability to perform all tasks listed above to the Company's expectations.
Must have Engineering, machine shop or technical work experience.
Technical Degree, AS or BS, in mechanical field preferred.
Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills.
Ability to research, read and understand Company work standards as well as International standards (ISO, DIN, ASTM, etc.)
Must have knowledge and/or understand fabrication processes of various types of parts.
Ability to work under time pressures.
