Job Description & Responsibilities:
A Design Engineer prepares 3D, 2D design documentation for all steam turbine components incl. basic strength analysis based on a design proposal of steam turbine received from the Project Development, Projects and other departments, and on the basis of instructions received from a Technical leader and a Group leader.

The main responsibilities are:
• In cooperation with Design Engineer – QC and Design Engineer Team Leader - proposes new design solutions for individual equipment using tested design solutions, valid standards and internal regulations. Proposes design documentation for individual parts of steam turbines putting an emphasis on function and the materials used (low price whilst maintaining safety of individual functions).
• Design solutions, putting an emphasis on meeting the parameters stipulated by the customer and on low component prices.
• With all tasks set by the line manager, works in a flexible manner in order to meet deadlines set for individual orders and in order to provide the best quality possible
• the latest development in design and engineering methods, studies specialized literature in order to improve personal qualifications, identifies and applies best practice during the design of steam turbine equipment
• to find solutions whilst complying with prescribed parameters
• to have the lowest costs possible whilst maintaining safety functioning of equipment

Qualifications:
• B.E/B-Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
• Diploma in Mechanical engineering
• Knowledge on Turbomachinery is highly preferred
• Knowledge of steam turbine components and its functionality,
• Experience in materials of selection, Casted, welded/fabrication methods, GD&T Knowledge.
• Experience in CAD (Catia V5 is preferred) and Product Lifecycle Management Software
• Work experience 05 + years
• Engineering detail design documentation, manufacturing knowledge of steam turbine and its components
