Mechanical Engineer
My client are currently overseeing the construction of a number of Data Centers throughout Europe and require a Mechanical Engineer with Data Center / Mission Critical Facility design experience to join the team.

This is a long term contract position, with around 50% of time spent working from home and 50% travelling to sites within Europe.

Responsibilities will include:
• Create designs and plans, provided and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary mechanical engineering design role for complex facility design projects.
• Create Conceptual Designs gathered from meeting with the client.
• Conduct analyses and audits of mechanical systems, and lead improvements.
• Prepare mechanical specifications and design criteria for retrofits, and provide input on future data center design reviews.
• Participate in equipment failure and power outage incidents and drive Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA). Implement solutions broadly across all regions.
• Evaluate data center commissioning scripts and participate in commissioning activities (Integrated System Test) for new and retrofitted data centers.
• Develop and review design standards, specs, and method of procedures (MOP) for consistency and maximum system reliability.
• Oversee Commissioning Process as needed
• Work with Business Development Team to respond to RFPs as needed
• Represent the company in project meetings.
Qualifications:
• PE or EIT a plus
• LEED a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with Mechanical Systems ( HVAC , CFD ( Fluid Dynamics ), Boilers , Chillers , Pumps , CRAC / CRAH Units , Air Handling Units , etc. ).
• Revit experience a Plus
• Familiar with the design process of building systems for mission critical projects.
• Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face.
• Ability to work independently.
• Computer savvy: MS Project,
• Must be willing to Travel 50% of time
