"TRS is looking for an Offshore Metering Technician with commissioning and maintenance analyzing experience within the Oil and Gas industry to join our International Client's Offshore project team based in Soyo, Angola."

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Monitor metering system performance and data to minimize metering errors.
• Routine planned maintenance (PM) to schedules and protocols, including onsite planning of the work to ensure these are carried out within the required timescales.
• Completion of any corrective work identified during normal operations or whilst carrying out PM's.
• Record and report mismeasurements to onshore support staff supplying pertinent data in an accurate and timely manner.
• Record keeping of metering systems offshore, records to include the upkeep of; OGA/ Fiscal metering log books, Test equipment certification files:
o Instrument calibration records
o Metering System drawings
o Densitometer control charts and change outs
o Turbine meter proving records and control charts.
• Prioritize workload to ensure backlog is kept to a minimum.
• Liaison with client representatives both onshore and offshore to identify and highlight any problem areas and any opportunities for improvements to the metering systems operation or efficiency.
• Provision of a report for each trip detailing work carried out, particularly in areas of faults, corrective work and suggestive improvements, handover notes for back-to-back should also be provided.
• Co-ordinate availability of spare parts and equipment required for repairs and change outs, schedule offshore repairs for metering equipment and test equipment to ensure continuity of service.
• Assist auditors, vendors and other third parties during site visits.

QUALFIICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• City and Guilds (UK) or recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• Valid BOSIET Offshore survival certificate.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as Metering Technician within Oil/Gas sector.
• Significant experience with fiscal metering systems, in a similar position.
• Conversant in fault-finding, calibration and testing of fiscal metering systems.
Ability to plan, co-ordinate and complete routine and non-routine metering/maintenance and calibration schedules.
• Delivering against fixed and potentially conflicting deadlines.
• Effective fault diagnosis, problem solving and implementation of remedial/ corrective actions.
• Must have and maintain an in-depth knowledge of measurement equipment, applications and methodologies.
• Fluent English(written/spoken).
• Previous work experience in Offshore Oil/Gas facility.
