National Sales VP

We currently seek a high caliber National Sales VP for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals.

This person will be responsible to the CEO for control of overall company sales targets for both 1.) Controls and 2.) Service segments. This includes policies, procedures and processes, and overall financial results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the capacity and willingness to assume the entire role of managing multiple corporate initiatives and challenges and perform them satisfactorily without supervision. As a mentor to the sales leadership teams, we expect this person to have a direct role in their development and work experience.

This individual will also have the ability to assist the CEO with the preparation of presentation materials about the company and speak during the presentations about certain aspects of sales, and sales projections specific to all branches. They will also have the ability to make competent business decisions without continuous oversight by the CEO (but in alignment with the CEO’s expectations) and understand when such decisions need to involve the CEO.

Requirements / Must haves:

  • 5-7 years of previous Sales Management experience within the building automation, energy services, or mechanical controls industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related field preferred but not required
  • Experience in the development and program design of L&D Curriculum is a plus

Job Duties:

  • Support CEO & branches in the development of future Sales targets and financial planning
  • Leverage existing Sales performance tools and enhance them to provide a high level of sales accountability
  • Help develop relationships & develop strategies to secure business with national clients of the company
  • Partner with the regional Sales Managers on developing and driving the company Sales strategies in harmony
  • Develop metrics for Sales productivity & communicate Sales performance to the company Leadership Team
  • Develop & implement standard Sales processes
  • Sales strategy development support to Branches when required
  • Develop strategy for out of market sales opportunities
  • Become the owner of the company Commission Policy for future edits and develop new ways to increase sales performance
  • Perform monthly Sales Forecast meetings with the Branches & achieve Sales and revenue targets for the company
