Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer (BSc/BEng) with at least 3-5 years’ experience of which 3 years is in the power generation sector, preferably in the thermal solar energy sector. High level knowledge and experience with thermal Facility processes (thermodynamics), fluid mechanics and equipment mechanics (pumps, boilers, turbines, heat exchangers). Experience in the management of SCADA systems is essential.

Role description:  Performance/Warranty Engineer

• Identifying the critical points affecting to the daily generation and creating the necessary tools for daily performance reporting and monitoring.
• Compare the DNI with the TMY and develop forecasts. 
• Conduct systematic performance analysis and reporting the results and deviations detected.
• Prepare weekly Owner’s internal reports on the overall weekly and annual accumulated performance of the plant and recommend improvement actions.  
• Report early warning signals to the Head of Technical (HoT)
• Identify risks in the plant and propose mitigation actions.
• Develop, maintain and improve systems to be used for the different plant’s assessment activities such as performance optimization, production forecast and plant/systems efficiency monitoring.
• Review and comment on the use of the thermal energy storage system during peak generation hours.
• Continually monitoring overall plant sub-systems performance.
• Review and record all failure events, analyse trends and make recommendations as needed to improve plant’s availability.
• Follow up on EPC obligations during the Warranty Period such as punch list items, equipment/system guarantees etc.
• Monitor the registration process of warranty claims with the EPC and maintain an effective record keeping system.
• Monitor the quality on warranty/punch list etc. related repairs done by the EPC contractor.
• Monitoring the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Review and Monitor Outage planning.
• Monitor and comment on scheduled- and preventative plant maintenance.
