Our Partner has an opening for a Process Analyzer. This position will report to the Engineering Discipline Manager and will reside in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, process control, reliability, and project development to identify and implement process analyzer optimization and reliability improvements
Design and specify on-line analyzers and analyzer systems
Coordinate new or replacement analyzer projects with engineering, process control, maintenance, and operations personnel
Provide commissioning / startup assistance and troubleshooting support of process analyzer systems with maintenance and process control personnel
Serve as an analyzer technology expert liaison between project engineers, plant maintenance, process control, and operations personnel
Support development of new analyzer applications and determine the application and benefits from new technologies
Minimum B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalent experience in the analyzer field
Professional Engineering License preferred
Extensive process analyzer experience in petrochemical or refining industries, 10+ years preferred
Experience working in a petrochemical production environment
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, leadership, written, and verbal skills
Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel and stakeholders at different levels of engineering, design, maintenance, and management as well as suppliers of Process Analyzer and Process Control Technology equipment and services
Thorough understanding of the principles of analytical chemistry and associated equipment
Problem solving / troubleshooting of analysis systems including sample systems and analyzers
Applicable knowledge of process analyzer systems technology including interface with process control systems
Compliance requirements for PSM, OSHA, and state reporting for environmental systems
