Wastewater Process Design Engineer

Job Description

Wastewater process engineers, also called wastewater engineers, design systems for carrying away and treating wastewater from oil , gas , refinery. It's important job because of the potential negative impact of poor systems.


Education

Wastewater engineers need at least a bachelor's of science degree in a field related to wastewater engineering, such a chemical engineering. A master's degree is not required for most entry-level wastewater engineering jobs, but may be required for higher level and management positions.


Job Duties

The primary job of a wastewater engineer is to design systems that safely treat wastewater to remove any harmful substances and return it to the ecosystem. Wastewater engineers lay out the specifications for pumping and lifting systems that bring wastewater to the treatment plants. They also lay out specifications for the flow of the wastewater through the system. They will engage with contractors and government agencies during the building of new treatment systems and ensure that all the building and water specifications fall underneath the correct codes.


Experience : 10+ years of experience with minimum 2 projects in refineries
