Job title: Process Technician - 2nd and 3rd shifts available
Location: Duncan, SC
Reports to: Group Technical Leads/Process Technology Manager
Schedule: 2nd and 3rd shifts available; 2nd shift 3p-11p, 3rd shift 11p-7a (currently working 6-7 days/week)
Hourly rate: $25-30/hr plus a $.75 shift differential
Type of position: Full-time, Direct Hire
General Description:
• Scrap Rates for respective zones/assigned presses
• Completions of Mold Change start of press paperwork and First Piece Approval Form
• Monitor actual cycle times/efficiency
• Up Keep of Process Parameter sheets (Info to Engineer)
• Assist in Mold changes/Material Changes (team with Setup Technicians/technical team members)
• Identify Root cause of problems, correct if possible (Press / Robot / EOAT), and give feedback to Engineer
• Logbook Entry / Pass down of shift Issues
• Keep Machines clean (Purge / Pellets / Parts & Runners in press /etc)
• Identify ROOT CAUSE and put into TIG proper down time codes (notify proper personnel)
• Cleaning of the tools in assigned area (each shift)
• Observe proper break times
• Training of Technical team members in procedures and proper startup of the presses / tools
• Training & mentoring when apprentices are present
• Other duties as needed.
Work experience requirements:
• Prior plastic injection mold processing experience in the automotive industry
• Experience performing mold change-overs and wearing of safety equipment/harnesses
• Technical training in Scientific Molding or RJG, Paulson, etc. a plus
• 5 years' minimum experience required with any of the following large tonnage injection molding presses: Engel, Krauss-Maffei, Husky, Van Dorn, HPM, Cincinnati Milacron, etc.
Education Requirements:
• Must have minimum High School Diploma / GED

** Local candidates will be given first priority, no relocation available at this time
** Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer indefinitely, regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship
** Must be able to pass a drug test and background check to be eligible for employment
