We currently seek a high caliber Product Manager for a long-term basis within our client's team of experienced professionals. Based in North Orange County, CA.
An after-market automotive company is looking to enhance its team by bringing on an experienced Product Manager within the categories of Fuel Pumps and HVAC.
Cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, fiscal budget, and goals.
Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, analysis of market research, and manufacturing coordination for products that fall into assigned categories.
Plans and formulates aspects of new product development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirements.
Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds or allocates funds from department budget.
Coordinates technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and release to production.
Conducts marketing analysis to develop product definitions.
Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
Coordinates and develops marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for assigned product categories.
Pursue sales and business development opportunities with existing and potential customers (all across the United States) in order to meet assigned sales growth objectives for category.
Prepares product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
Reviews progress continually through product life cycle to ensure attainment of objectives.
Maintains communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, marketing, schedule, and sales information for product category
Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) and five years related experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, sales related reports.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
