“TRS has a perfect opportunity for a Production Administrator with planning, project management or production management experience to be based in Pietermaritzburg.”
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- To oversee all functions of Factory production and Production planning and scheduling.
- Liaising with Sales and Logistics departments regarding delivery of orders.
- Create, Maintain and deliver weekly sequenced Production Schedule to all stakeholders.
- Developing, Implementation and enforcing plan-tracking metrics to assist in plan achievement. Monitor and report on the production lines daily/ weekly performance escalating problems to Management.
- Determination, forecasting and reporting of resource requirements to achieve plan.
- Ensuring jobs are raised and lot tickets printed to cover the production plan.
- Ensure that subordinates and machines are working efficiently in order to achieve targets set as per Production Schedule Requirements.
- Ensure good communication with support services (Test Eng., Process/ Maintenance, Industrial Eng., Engineering Services, Repairs etc.)
- Implement and maintain all processes required as per Quality procedures.
EDCUATON & SKILLS:
- Tertiary qualification in Planning, project management or production management preferable.
- 5 years recent experience in related discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with MRP systems
- Have good understanding of Bills of Materials and BOM sequencing.
- Have experience development of reporting metrics, scheduling and KPI tracking.
- Have advanced Microsoft Office skills.
