Production Manager

TRS is seeking an experienced Production Manager for a state-of-the-art automotive manufacturing client in Anderson, SC!

Responsibilities Include:
• Oversees all facets of the day-to-day production operations
• Review customer demand and production orders to develop production schedules based on inventory and staffing requirements, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints
• Direct or coordinate production and processing activities on a daily basis
• Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work of subordinates as needed
• Provide leadership and develop operating strategies, plans, or procedures
• Direct the hiring, training, supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations of all manufacturing staff including the setting of performance standards
• Hire, train, evaluate, or discharge staff and resolve personnel grievances
• Establish key performance indicators/metrics and process evaluation criteria’s, develop methods of analysis and reports, monitor ongoing performance to continuously improve the effectiveness of production, quality control and maintenance
• Collaborate with staff, other departments, central group functions in other locations, senior management, and decision makers to share information and support strategic goals
• Act on and communicate problems and issues to appropriate resources in a timely manner
• Identify, assess, manage and mitigate risk
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Develop annual plans with prioritization and prepare annual budget of Production department
• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
• Evaluate and assess the quality of materials or products
• Coordinate facility maintenance or repair activities by providing guidance and direction to subordinates to guarantee asset’s good working conditions
• Plan and execute actions to attack deviations from targets as well as non-compliances
• Direct and manage regulatory compliance
• Work in compliance with the company’s policies, procedures and standards in order to meet the safety, quality, productivity and profit targets
• Secure a safe environment and drive efforts towards a zero accident workplace
• Set machines, establish and verify process capability and enable subordinates in doing the same
• Run trials and provide input for product development and qualification with customers
• Other related duties as required by senior leadership

Requirements Include:
• High School Diploma required (Associates or Bachelors Preferred)
• 5+ Years of experience managing a team of Production Associates and Supervisors
• Good understanding of injection molding processes, raw materials, tooling, robotics, assembly operations and quality control
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Ability to manage a 24/7 operation
• Basic knowledge in management systems like TS 16949 and ISO 9001
