Project Automation Specialist

Responsibilities

• Work with Data Quality Manager to design, analyze and support data driven applications as part of activities required for project execution.
• Collaborate with a more senior Project Automation Specialist (PAS) to analyze and evaluate project execution technology support and implementation requirements.
• Provide end user project support, project setup, and configuration or special project modifications required for a limited number of automation technologies.
• Assist Information Technology (IT) in evaluating technology impact to IT infrastructure and systems.
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Average years of project experience: 5-8+ years
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering or computer science is preferred or equivalent technical experience.
• Four (4) years of experience in project, Information Technology or Automation.
• Experience in the design and implementation of Database, ETL and Reporting applications using MS SQL Server (2008-2016 and T-SQL) and the MS BI Stack (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS).
• Experience in designing reports using SSRS and utilizing SSAS cubes to facilitate the reporting of business based on historical/current data.
• Experience using Power BI and Tableau for reporting.
• Perform specializations which may be limited to a single system or at most two.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.

• Basic knowledge of Information Technology in:
o Desktop/laptop environment and general office tools.
o Infrastructure (Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), telecommunications, etc.)
o Electronic security and governance.
o Electronic communications.
o Network operations and support.
o Software development, implementation, and support.

• Candidate must be knowledgeable in most of the following areas:
o Programming knowledge.
o SQL or Oracle knowledge.
o Knowledge of other databases.
o Database queries and reporting software tools.
o Database conversion and data import/export.
