ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safety:
● Follow AL Safety Rules and Procedures
● Ensure that the relevant safety clauses are incorporated in supplier contracts/ agreements
Quality:
● Maintain E&C vendor list for assigned category
● Comply with Global Category Strategy, Blue Book/Golden Rules, and Group’s Corporate Policies
● Work with management team as directed to developand execute project procurement plan.
● Recommend non-lead suppliers for disqualification
● Identify and analyze non-lead supplier performanceand monitor relevant data collection through
applicable procedures
● Send RFQ’s, evaluate bid tabs, issue purchase orders for non lead equipment.
● Work with category manager to ensure non-lead project equipment is purchased in accordance to
Project Procurement Plan.
● Deploy, implement and ensure compliance to procurement manual, associated instructions &
procedures as well as procurement code of conduct Margin Contribution/ Contribution to E&C
Competitiveness
● Contribute to the continuous improvement E&C competitiveness
● Implement sourcing strategy leading to qualificationof new suppliers while ensuring proper involvement
of other E&C functions (Products / Technology and Project Management)
● Contribute to cost, delivery time and risk reduction projects while maintaining the required quality
● Implement E&C spend target in low cost countries in assigned category and negotiate global MOU or
contracts
Operational Effectiveness:

● Define, jointly with Project Management, project specific vendor list for proposal- and project execution.
● Develop Commercial Bid Analysis under Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) consideration
● Ensure conduct of pre-award negotiations by category team
● Recommend for purchase to Project Procurement Manager, Project Manager, Global Category
Management and Centre Procurement Director, as applicable.
● Negotiate with suppliers directly or support managers with negotiations of non-lead equipment.
● Ensure support to warranty case clarification / claim management
● Identify track and report key performance indicators / performance metrics
● Support Project team by meeting PPP targets, ensuring that supplier back charges are followed
through.
Development and Competitiveness:
● Establish and communicate action plan for assigned project: spend analysis, objectives, sourcing action
plan, resources and milestones
● Support common Supplier Relation Management tool and related workflows deployment
● Identify, develop and qualify new suppliers in the zone with a view to improve competitiveness as well
as raise the benchmark of services
● Contribute to company’s competitiveness improvement programs

● Build competencies necessary to effectively implement E & C projects
● Coach team, develop and maintain competencies and ensure sustainable know how availability, - grow
people
● Monitor performance through establishment of goals, improvement plans, reviews and monthly
Reporting
Manage internal and external communication:
● Support a culture of open communication across category network and within the E&C global
organization

Education: Mechanical EngineeringProcurement/ Supply Chain Management/ Global Sourcing will be
