THE ROLE: The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for development and coordination of the required analysis & reporting for strategic projects and investment proposals, liaising closely with management, various departments and Co-investors. You are responsible for the project controls discipline in the growing organization and number of projects, build and manage the project controls team and set up systems and procedures. The Project Controls Manager reports to the Senior Project Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops -planning and cost control including estimating, risk management and document control on multiple parallel projects;
- Recognizes and evaluates trends and changes on the project affecting costs and/or schedule.
- Ensures the right actions are taken on the right time to mitigate delays and cost overrun;
- Oversees the engineering works both done in house and performed by third parties in all stages of the project;
- Oversees the planning and progress measurement taking into account the project constraints and project execution;
- Ensures pro-active scope change management and provide accurate reporting;
- Gathers actuals progress data from disciplines and databases, consolidate and check consistency of data;
- Communicates effectively with all stakeholders involved in the project;
- Ensures timely internal reports in the field of overall planning, resource planning and productivity
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree or higher in a technical commercial related field;
- 5 – 10 years of Project Controls experience in complex Engineering and EPC projects with (petro-) chemical companies/contractors preferably in PMC role;
- Experience in the area of planning, estimating, cost control, change management, risk management and document control;
- Experienced and skilled in MS Office (Excel, Access) and project planning tools, i.e.: MS Project and Primavera;
- Strong communication, planning and control skills;
- Experience working within a multi-cultural environment and fluency in English both written and oral, Dutch is an advantage.
- Must be able to lead and delegate but also complete processes on their own;
