The Project Estimator will be responsible for supporting all aspects of subcontractor and supplier estimating and bidding processes. Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

Requirements / Must haves:
• At least 5 years of previous experience working in the construction field similar in or related position.
• Strong estimating skills using software and spreadsheets design.
• Financial and Job Cost Accounting Knowledge is a plus
• Ability to maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications
• Strong knowledge of the construction processes and procedures
• Fast paced environment. Field/Site office.
• Ability to travel required. Travel up to 10%+
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Knowledge of basic MS applications (Excel, Access, Power point, Word) is a MUST.
• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

Job Duties:
• Support all aspects of subcontractor and supplier estimating and bidding processes.
• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
• Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for stipulated price, Design-build and Construction/ Project Management formatted projects.
• Provide clear detailed quantity take offs if required.
• Work with project Executives, marketing, and accounting staff coordinating contributions from into proposals.
• Ensure company compliance with bidding regulations and goals of each project.
• Develop, prepare, coordinate, and execute presentations and proposals to existing or new customers if needed.
• Work on multiple company bids simultaneously and delivering in accordance with deadline objectives.
• Operate and maintain proficiency in all internal estimating systems, technologies, and software.
