Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Job Description: Our client has a solid global record of project success at all scales within Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing. These industries include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, plasma fractionation, solar energy, data centers, consumer products, food & beverage, and advanced materials. To date we have executed over 200 projects globally. The client's ability to execute projects safely, economically and successfully, with complete global EPCM capability, strong ethical stance and brand sets us apart from our competition.

Our client is seeking key Construction Project Management Leaders to leverage the robust client platforms, and legacy. These leaders will ideally be based in Greenville SC USA and will service clients globally assuring client's growth, stability and sustainability. The role will require travel to project sites and other client offices. For certain projects the role will also require assignment to the project location.

As a result we are looking to recruit Construction Project Directors capable of leading projects in excess of $100 million of total installed cost.

Role Responsibilities

• The primary focus of the role will be to optimise project execution to achieve both Client and client business objectives.

• The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all aspects of project execution including safety, alignment with engineering (both client and third party as required, procurement, contracting and construction. Only Candidates with direct construction and/or construction management experiences may be considered.

• Key to this position will be the ability to lead the successful execution of awarded projects and support business development/proposal efforts.
Necessary activities will include:

• Project Leadership - Provide leadership and direction to the project team contributing expertise to planning and execution of the work. Hold overall technical and commercial accountability for the project. Negotiate with other key stakeholders.

• Business Development -Provide project leadership support to the sales team in pursuit of opportunities. Maintain key Client relationships.

• Training and People Development -Participate in the identification of company personnel skill/experience gaps and support mentoring and training of staff.

Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in architecture, engineering, or construction management and technical knowledge of an array of disciplines and twelve (12) years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams through all phases of projects including Master Planning, conceptual design, basic design/FEEDS, detailed design, Procurement, contracting, construction, and commissioning or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed

Preferred Qualifications
• Has led the safe execution of Life Sciences or Advanced Manufacturing projects including green field developments and brown field expansions. Has thorough understanding of the contractual and commercial implications and specific exceptional requirements of different project contract types including reimbursable, lump sum services, Fixed Price Lump sum, LSTK, guaranteed maximum and incentivised fee.

• Extensive knowledge of project controls, planning and risk management

• Possesses significant experience of presenting to Clients and senior external and internal stakeholders both in a business development and project execution context.
