TRS Staffing is seeking a Project Manager for a machining manufacturer in North Houston.

Position Summary: Work closely with the Repair Manager while providing support to successfully estimate, execute various shop/field projects and develop along with implement quality control systems. The Project Manager monitors project’s cost, scope and schedules, advises on solutions, and changes as necessary to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage various projects for shop and field repairs by planning, reporting, proposal estimating of cost and scheduling according to project deadlines and budgets.
• Create detailed job estimates and execution plans for incoming request for proposals using historical information or internal/external resources as needed.
• Work with customers, shop and field operation to develop required quality documents, inspection and test plans, and other associated documents required for successful execution of awarded projects.
• Participate in client meetings, contract finalization, and development of requirements and specifications.
• Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
• Assess potential risks and perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Identify and work to resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Track project milestones and deliverables.

• Determine the frequency and content of ongoing status reports, review/analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. Compile final reports and supporting documentation for review by engineering and project controls.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Draft potential EWAs (Extra Work Authorization) for project controls to compile and forward to customers.
• Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
• Active role in internal continuous improvement teams.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Assist, attend and/or conduct project close out and lessons learned meetings.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Willing to attend on-going training to further professional development.
• Ensure communication with customers, suppliers, vendors and co-workers are professional and appropriate.
• Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends and work well with others.
• Fit for duty in clean and presentable manner.
• Able to travel within and outside of the continental US; valid passport.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Qualifications/Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of the job.
Education:
• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• BS Technical Degree preferred
Experience:
• Preferred 2-years project management and quality related experience
• Preferred 5-years of experience in steam path repair
Language Skills:
• Ability to read, write and speak in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with groups of managers, clients, customers, vendors and the public
Skills and Abilities:
• Must be customer service oriented and have excellent hospitability and guest relations skills
• Excellent math, verbal/written communication skills and attention to details
• Ability to multi-task and use of judgement to solve problems
• Safety focus
• Ability to perform routine duties involving use of various procedures and applications to clearly prescribed standard practices
• MS Office Suite, Scheduling software, AutoCad
Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Project Management Professional Certification preferred
