We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work in the Water sector in Leeds for a Major Consultancy. This is a permanent role with excellent career development opportunities. The salary would be £45-55,000 with excellent benefits.

As an experienced Project Manager you will handle commissions of varying sizes, depending upon the complexity of the project within the £10m to £20m range. The role involves managing, programming, monitoring, co-ordinating and reporting on the delivery of the project to the agreed timescales and meeting the defined outcomes of the project.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Advising at a strategic level at the project inception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives.
• Deal with any issues that may arise, such as changes to permits, liaison with internal and external individuals, compensation events.
• Helping to establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Developing and agreeing budgets and controlling forecast and actual costs against them
• Identifying and monitoring project risks and planning and implementing risk mitigations

Experience:
• Degree educated in relevant discipline, ideally with Project Management qualifications (APM).
• Proven Project or Contract Management experience in water or utility industry
• Experience managing the NEC form of contract
