Project Purchaser

TRS Staffing Solutions is looking for a Project Purchaser to work on a project in the Oil & Gas industry near Amsterdam. As a Purchaser you will be responsible for procuring materials and services in an economically advantageous, timely, cost effective and ethical manner.

Responsibilities:
• Purchases all project related requirements in a sound and ethical manner in accordance with project requirements.
• Verifies that purchase requisitions are complete.
• Prepares and issues enquiries to suppliers.
• Reviews and analyses Suppliers quotations in conjunction with Project Procurement Coordinator and project stakeholders.
• To organise and chair pre-award/clarification meetings with suppliers.
• Prepares bid evaluation, negotiates pricing, lead times and terms and conditions and recommends best commercial options.
• Performs desk expediting activities as required.
• Prepares and issues a weekly status report showing the status of all purchase transactions for which Purchaser carries responsibility.
• Liaises with Suppliers, Project Procurement Coordinator, Project Expeditor, Expediting & Inspection Coordinator and Manager Transport & Logistics as appropriate with regards to 3rd party inspections, transportation of materials and shipments.
• Coordinates visits of Suppliers to (site) locations for installation, commissioning, repair, sup-port and warranty activities.
• Prepares suppliers performance documentation, in conjunction with Project Procurement Coordinator and Lead Procurement as appropriate.
• Reviews and verifies invoices in a timely and accurate manner in conjunction with the as-signed invoice administrator.
• Ensures final close out of orders including the evaluation of suppliers.

General
• Keeps knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and shares this within the section.
• Reports regularly to the Lead Procurement on personal achievements and section matters.
• Checks work of colleagues to improve quality.
• Administrates work correctly.
• Uses and maintains corporate standards. Develops and proposes improvements.
Requirements
Education & experience
• Technical College or equivalent.
• Over 2 years commercial experience within the oil & gas industry.
• English good, verbally as well as in writing.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
