FUNCTION: RETAIL SALES MANAGER
DISCIPLINE: SALES MANAGEMENT
LOCATION: SEYCHELLES
DURATION: PERMANENT
SALARY: R45 000 – R50 000 PER MONTH

“TRS has an exciting international opportunity based in the Seychelles for a Retail Sales Manager with FMCG industry experience, to take ownership of the key retail accounts and responsible for leading sales team for our Client, an importer and distributor of fresh and frozen perishables and a represents a portfolio of leading well known dry FMCG products to the hospitality industry, hotels/resorts, bars/restaurants, catering and retail trade in the Seychelles.”

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The retail sales manager would be responsible for the following:
• Sales of Dry, Fresh and Frozen produce into the retail market.
• Management of Sales Representatives.
• High level strategy development.
• Market research.
• Stock re-ordering.

Sales rep management includes:
• Spending sufficient time in the market with the reps.
• Training the sales team to sell better.
• Empowering the sales team.
• Manage sales reps to meet individual targets.
• Manage call/visit sheets.

High level strategy development includes:
• Product promotions.
• Bulk discounts.
• Working with sub distributors to presell containers.

Market Research includes:
• Ability to conduct concise and clear market research.
• An inherent ability to read the market and understand the market demands.
• Ability to understand pricing to determine a selling price to a client.

Stock re-ordering includes:
• Getting directly involved in the replacement of stock.
• Advise procurement of market related information that will determine ordering patterns.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• An excellent track record of selling FMCG products into the retail industry
• 10 years’ experience working with FMCG products
• Experience in dealing with key accounts and managing a team of sales representatives is a must
• An understanding of produce with shelf lives
• Produce knowledge of dry, chilled and frozen produce
• Experience in living and working outside of their home country
• Experience in working with sales teams and managing those teams successfully
• Experience in growing business and developing markets

PACKAGE & REMUNERATION:
• Market related salary dependent on experience.
• The company will also provide a car, laptop and cell phone contract.
• Accommodation will be the responsibility of the candidate however the first month’s rental will be covered by the company.
• Two annual return tickets to the original country of residence are also included in the package.
