Senior Electrical Engineer

Function:  Sr. Electrical Engineer
Location:  Gelsenkirchen
Duration:  6-9 months

For one of our clients in the Oil, Gas and Chemical sector we are currently looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer willing to take a contract role in Germany.

General job description

As a member of the E&CS taskforce, the Electrical Engineer will perform electrical system studies, specification of electrical equipment (such as transformers, switchgear, MCC's, UPS, EDP’s) in accordance with client requirements, authority regulations etc. He/she will participate in the complete cycle of equipment specification, supplier selection, purchase of equipment, supplier drawing review, equipment acceptance and delivery to site, site (erection) support and turn-over.

Key responsibilities

- Writing and reviewing electrical specifications and vendor documentation
- Procurement of electrical equipment including follow-up (FAT)
- Cooperate field implementation (SAT)
- Participate on mechanical equipment
- Writing scope of work
- Design of electrical systems
- Perform electrical systems studies
-Cooperate with third parties, project disciplines and construction site

Proven experience

• 5 - 10 years in a similar position

Minimum requirements

• TU or HTS education level

• Willingness to travel

• Knowledge of German and English language

• Strong interpersonal skills

• You are allowed to work in Germany
