Dynamic technology driven company seeking senior maintenance technician to join their team ASAP!
The purpose of this position is to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and perform reactive and preventative maintenance inspections on various types of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal Senior Maintenance Technician will have a strong Electrical or Mechanical background with a strong desire to adapt and group. He will also have project management skills.
Essential Job Functions
Lead small teams and challenging projects; Motivate, mentor, and supervise Tech I or II staff as needed
Assist Supervisor and Manager with project planning and resource alignment or other needs; Develop thorough and detailed parts lists; Be able to follow project schedules and budgetary constraints

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform periodic maintenance on the following equipment: synchronous belts, v-belts, sheaves, roller chains, sprockets, conveyor systems, motors and gearboxes, loaders, several types of pumps, extruders, compressed air systems, blenders, hoists, and equipment associated with plastic extrusion
Safely and efficiently diagnose mechanical and electrical failures to the ROOT CAUSE; Make repairs as needed and recommendations to Maintenance Manager for procedural/equipment changes to prevent recurrence
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with 3 phase and single phase 480 V power in an industrial environment; Be able to safely troubleshoot and repair all electrical components including surface contact heaters, ceramic heaters, SSRs, VFDs, contactors, motor starters, relays, breakers, temperature controllers, mercury contactors, and fuse blocks
Troubleshoot control loops and various systems with simple AC, DC, or mA control signals; Read & interpret electrical prints and diagrams
Align various types of equipment such as motors, gearboxes, couplings and pulleys using both the magnetic dial indicator method and the straight-edge method.
Experience with overhead cranes from 1 to 10 tons including hoist maintenance and repair, bridge maintenance, and motor/electrical repair
Experience with mobile equipment maintenance including forklifts, tugs, and small vehicles
Demonstrates project management experience and leadership success
Project planning to include planning the project, managing project staff, executing and evaluating the outcome of the project.
Ten (10) years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
High School Diploma or GED.
Good housekeeping habits and strong work ethic
Completion of education courses or any state licenses or certifications such as welding, electrician, or crane/rigging.
Able to perform calculations for mechanical fabrication or installations as well as equations such as Ohms law for electrical diagnostic and repair.
Working knowledge of: Multi-meter and amp meters, oxy-acetylene welding and cutting, arc welding, drilling & tapping, hand & power tools, drill press, pipe threading machines, forklifts, wiring & conduit
Welding or electrical certification preferred.
Ability to frequently lift up to 70lbs.
Must be able to work in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees, climb stairs and work at heights exceeding 20'
