The South Flank Project is being executed by a fully Integrated Project Team (IPT), jointly established by BHP and Fluor, consisting of employees from both organisations as well as other contracting organisations as applicable. The BHP Charter Values will underpin the success of the IPT and South Flank Project, creating a culture which promotes trust, team engagement and productivity.

The project has an exciting opportunity for an Senior Planner, to join the project team, based on site on a 20/8 roster.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

Technical evaluation of Bulk Earthworks and Concrete tenders.
Technical evaluation of contractor baseline schedule submission, basis and curves.
Regular analysis of contractor data; including progress measurement system, QMR and schedule.
Progress updates of project control level schedule.
Plan/actual/forecast analysis and variance reporting.
All other panning & progress monitoring activities as required.
Proactive approach to safety.

Required competencies/skills:

Advanced experience using Primavera P6.
MS Office applications experience - Word, Excel etc.
Strong communication skills.
Proven time management and ability to meet deadlines.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role(s) including 5+ years of mine site experience.
Experience with Risk Analysis - Pertmaster (preferable but not required).
Experience in large scale iron ore projects in Australia (multi-billion dollar).
Extensive experience for planning & scheduling of civil works at job site.
Understands and be able to implement earned value for progress and quantity reporting.

Qualifications Required:

Engineering or Trades background
EPC/EPCM team Experience in similar size iron ore projects
Past Experience with Civil scopes preferable as well as SMPE&I
