The Site & Logistic Superintendent supports the CM in the overall management of logistic of the project, is responsible for coordination and control of site facilities and all construction support activities as scaffolding, warehousing, housekeeping, cleaning, rigging, temporary utilities.
You will be accountable for the execution of construction support activities until completion (meet time, performance and quality requirements) in compliance with safety aspects.
The Site & Logistic Superintendent is strongly involved in the EHS program during project execution, implements the EHS plan on site.
The Site & Logistic Superintendent must manage his working time to maximize his presence on field.
Main tasks:
• Supporting development of project EHS program
• Reviewing and assessing bidders offers for his disciplines
• Participating to bidders selection
• Participating Kick Off meeting for construction work packages related to his disciplines
• Leading pre-construction process until readiness review and leading readiness review
• Participating to Safety meetings and leading by example safety effort
• Taking disciplinary measures toward contractor in case of breaking rules
• Participating to incident and accident investigations and reports
• Assessing Contractors performance under his responsibility on Safety, Quality and progress on permanent basis, reporting and escalating major issues, deviations regarding execution activities
• Developing and monitoring action plans related to EHS, Quality or Progress findings
• Facilitating Contractor and Vendor activities under his responsibilities ensuring performance to contractual agreements
• Ensuring management of site facilities including space allocated to contractors and workers
• Ensuring utilities supporting construction activities are always in line with construction demands
• Organizing with supports of contractors logistic on site and mainly lifting to buildings
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with the Client and their representatives continuously
• Acting in coordination meeting with project stakeholders
• Ensuring coordination between different disciplines on field
• Touring the jobsite areas daily to review installation of material, inspecting and providing written verification of the condition.
• Controlling the execution by contractors in accordance with Surveillance/Inspection Plans and that works are performed according the latest approved documents and, project specifications and local country codes and regulations.
• Controlling and tracking progress of contractors under his responsibilities
• Ensuring proper follow-up of construction cost incurred
• Performing surveillance and control as detailed in the contractors’ orders / contracts and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Reviewing material selections and requirements related to the work.
