Sr. Cyber Security Specialist
We currently seek a high caliber Cyber Security Specialist for a long-term basis within our client's team of experienced professionals. Based in Richardson, TX.
The Senior Cyber Security Specialist works toward predetermined goals and objectives in the Cyber Risk and Compliance team. Using your skills, experience and knowledge you will answer security and compliance questions from the business units and project teams, determine and pursues a course of action necessary to obtain desired results, and make recommendations and changes to departmental policies and procedures as needed. While you will focus on unclassified networks, you may also contribute to the cyber security of classified environments.
Conducts security assessments against enterprise security controls to validate functionality and effectiveness of control against established standards (e.g. NIST).
Actively contributes to procedures, work instructions and checklists for improving internal cyber risk and security architecture activities.
Documents and diagrams enterprise architecture documents to include security architecture and security engineering documents.
Candidates must have at least 7-10 yrs of exp. dealing with compliance assessments.
Strongly prefer someone who has a technical background but then switched to Cyber Risk and Compliance side of the business.
Employment Type: 6-12 month contract (potential direct hire after 1 year)

Non-Exempt/Hourly (while working as a temp)
Start Date: 2/25/19 (or ASAP)
If all goes well and funding is provided, there is a possibility to convert direct in 2020 for the right fit.
Work Hours: 8am-5pm
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri.
