Sonar relocation and tracking systems to the Military Special Ops community, followed by diver navigation and sonar systems. Locator Beacons.Our company is a growing electronics manufacturing firm specializing in mission critical products. We are expanding our investment into R&D and new product development with a pipeline full of exciting product ideas.If you consider yourself a cut above and want to have an impact on new product development, then we want to talk to you. We strive to be the best at what we do. Summary:You will know how to take a product from the conceptual stage to a working prototype and validate the hardware. The position requires that you enjoy variety since we always have new R&D projects in the pipeline. We prefer that you have a curious mind and enjoy learning.Responsibilities:•Take a new product idea and create a design requirement specification•Generate block diagrams, schematics and Bills of Material (BOMs) for all electronics•Validate designs via working hardware•Contribute new ideas and input on how we can do things betterJob Requirements:•Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or a closely related field, plus seven (7) years of product development experience in design and development of microcontroller/microprocessor/DSP systems, with emphasis on interfacing to sensors and analog signals.•Solid understanding of sensors and sensor interfaces.•Experience in successfully taking electronic designs from initial concept to production.•Proficiency with system integration and testing designs and product.•Clear understanding of the product development cycle, tools and resources required for successful project completion.•Hands-on experience with circuit assembly and prototyping.•Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.) and good problem solving skills.•Effective interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.•Able to work independently, self-starter.Preferred Skills and Experience:•Schematic capture experience employing mixed signal design techniques.•Altium and Altium Designer software.•Board layout experience and good layout practices, both high frequency and high precision.•Design experience in C/C++ and assembly for embedded applications.•Competency in communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
