The Stakeholder Manager will be responsible for managing and developing strong, positive relationships with main stakeholders who might be impacted by the offshore wind development project
The role will also require occasional travel within Europe and attendance at industry conferences.
Key Accountabilities
An important role within the Offshore Wind business, this role will report into the Senior Manager PMO Poland for all offshore projects within Poland from greenfield up to and including Final Investment Decision.
Working closely with partners and contractors, the senior management team, internal support functions and external stakeholders. The responsibilities will include external and internal management and communication of project business interests, optimizing and executing the offshore wind development strategy and representing offshore wind development interests in public advocacy activities with local and national authorities.
1 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• As a Senior PMO you will be:
• Working with the senior leadership team to ensure regular updating of market criteria thereby ensuring alignment between project and market strategy view;
• Representing and co-ordinating country specifics within the project;
• Where appropriate represent Client offshore wind Poland projects and co-ordinate internal governance and decisions.
• Co-ordinate the Offshore contribution to steerco approval papers and steerco updates for decision;
• Contribution to strengthen clients presence in Poland;
• Attendance in meetings with Government, regulators, local industry, partners;
• Working with Regulatory to evaluate offshore wind policies and roll-out the local content regime, inform lobbying strategy to influence and improve project attractiveness;
• Involved in activities of the associations in close cooperation with Regulatory
• Cooperating with and taking part in consultation processes of the Government, regulators and authorities
• Working together with the Consents, Engineering and Finance team on advanced development of the project and preparation for construction;
• Represent the project at industry events such as conferences, consultations, public events;
• Establishment of close relationships and attendance in meetings with Government, regulators, local industry, partners;
• ;
• Manage external stakeholder activity to build and maintain links with key stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the project, including links with the supply chain through close collaboration with Procurement;
2 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS SET
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated with development and construction projects;
• Fluent in Polish and English language;
• Strong influencing, interpersonal and change management skills;
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills, as well as written and oral communication skills;
• Proven ability to persuade, challenge and build credibility at all levels and across functions of the business;
• Ability to be proactive and take responsibility for matters, while responding to competing business demands;
• Strong ability to manage competing timescales;
• Ability to make recommendations and implement decisions effectively in a manner consistent with clients core principles;
• Ability to manage own workload and that of a team;
• Ability to explain complex and detailed project issues and interactions in order to allow the Leadership Team to make decisions;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly for leading/participating in virtual teams drawn from across clients business.
• Research and strategic analysis;
• Good organisational skills to meet fast paced timescales on a number of potentially simultaneous negotiations and other business development activities; and
• Strong ability to use Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
3 EXPERIENCE
• Extensive experience at a high level in developing large scale offshore wind infrastructure projects;
• Proven experience in cooperation with governmental bodies and authorities;
• A solid understanding of the complex business requirements related to offshore wind projects;
• Proven experience in negotiations;
• Good knowledge in policy and law making processes;
• Strong ability to manage own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, whilst producing high quality results in demanding timeframes;
• Experience of working in the offshore renewable energy industry;
• Strong self-performance management and delivery focus with the ability to balance conflicting requirements on quality, costs and time;
• Strong team leader with the ability to resource, manage and influence project teams in an inclusive manner ensuring equal opportunities at all times;
4 QUALIFICATIONS
• A university degree in business, renewable energy, engineering or equivalent qualification is desirable;
