Our client, a leading general contractor, is looking for a Superintendent to join their team in Edmonton, AB. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to further progress their careers within the construction industry. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in contracts, cost control, schedules, and quality control/quality assurance.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing project performance, on-site safety, handling contracts, as well as cost control and schedules. They will also be responsible to manage project performance and to protect and promote the interests of our client and all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Should have Journeyman trade certificate or related post-secondary education
- 5+ years of experience in a project management capacity for retail store projects, tenant improvements, and/or fit-outs
- Previous experience in a foreman capacity is an asset
- Able to support construction contracts up to $5M in value
- Must have previous experience with contracts, cost control, schedules, and quality assurance/quality control
- Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal
