Our Partner, an internationally integrated Chemicals Company, is in need of a Supply Chain Systems Analyst. This position is based out of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position reports to the Manager of Governance and Enablement and is preferred to sit out of the Lake Charles, Louisiana offices. The role is expected to measure, analyze, and report on the performance of Procurement and the integrated Operations Services function, make improvement recommendations based on the level of performance of the current processes, technology and network and define changes required to effect these improvements and monitor the efficacy of improvement undertakings.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

• Ongoing data collection and analysis. Ensuring the integrity of the data on which reporting is based through adherence to policies, procedures and standards. Identifying and raising exceptions to data integrity.
o Supply chain data integrity risks raised.
o Compliance to policies, procedures and standards for Procurement performance measurement and management.
• Identifying trends which suggest performance improvement opportunities. Providing input where the business strategy is translated into KPIs for performance measurement.
o Performance analysis resulting in achieving sustainable improvement opportunities
o Accurate alignment of interpretations with Americas Supply Chain strategy.
o KPIs agreed annually.
• Timely running of SAP reports and collating operational information from various sources to produce daily, weekly and monthly reports.
o Strategic reporting required produced in a timely manner and to quality requirements (e.g. board reports)
• Populate various dashboards, ongoing progress reports, board reports and various other reports required by Operations Services stakeholders.
o Accurate and timely operational reports daily, weekly and monthly.
• Modelling of data to convey Management Information as Business Intelligence which will be used for specific decision making. Assist with the interpretation of the data and the formulation of recommendations. The provision of ad hoc reporting on the basis of the business intelligence required.
o Quality of recommendations made based on the interpretation of the data.
o Accurate interpretation of reports.
• Develop standardized templates for Operations Services (including Procurement) reporting ensuring a high-quality output of business intelligence. Propose ongoing improvements to reporting templates and participate in the streamlining and automation of reporting to the degree possible.
o Templates readily available.
o Quality assurance on all standardized templates and reports.
o Streamlined, automated reports.
• Understand the contextual basis and landscape from which reports need to be drawn in a complex environment
• Extract meaningful business intelligence reports for Operations Support, based on multiple data sources.
• Coordinate business intelligence gathering activities across multiple org units of varying maturity
• Recommend improvements in business intelligence gathering and analysis methods and approached
• Build and maintain collaborative and cohesive relationships with key business stakeholders and Works Contractors during this sensitive time of incessant change in all work fronts.
• Coordinate key stakeholder interfaces and ensure alignment between various sites and functions (IM, SAS) and other stakeholders on the business process and governance front. Interfaces with
o Head of Supply Chain Optimization
o Senior Manager / Managers Procurement as well as Ops and Maintenance
o Various subject matter experts

REQUIREMENTS

Appropriate B Degree or equivalent competent experience
At least 3 years of relevant experience
Must be a Power BI Super User
SAP competence/experience (mandatory)
Access Database, VB competence/experience (mandatory)
BW competence/experience (strong preference)
Experience in an analytical / reporting role favorable
