Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Traffic Management Coordinator! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, and a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7.
In this role, the qualified candidate will be reporting to the Site Wide Service Facility and Services Manager. Some duties include coordinating site Traffic Control to the BC Ministry of Transportation Standard, Traffic Flow Management, and developing procedures for providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides supervision of and direction to subordinates involved in all project support activities
- Assist Manager with validation of CDR's and LEMs
- Ensures that all required business license/permits are obtained and properly displayed and/or filed
- Prepare site Traffic notices
- Engage in overall site logistics activities related to roadway Traffic Flow Management
- Actively participate in coordinating construction site Traffic Control to the BC MoT Standard (Traffic Control Person training would be an asset)
- Full cycle management of work requests. Validate, prioritize, and follow up on completion
- Monitors subcontractors quality, safety and performance programs, verifies daily activity reporting and approves subcontractors invoicing for compliance with progress billing and reporting structures
- Coordinate facility services like janitorial, septic, coffee and water
Qualifications:
- Traffic Control Person training would be an asset
- Post secondary education in Business, Commerce or Planning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe and Web Mapping Applications
- Previous large scale industrial construction site experience
