Truck Dispatcher
Somerville, MA
$26-$30/hr
Contract early 2021
Job Duties:
• Serve as primary point of contact for scheduling and coordination with subcontractors of all trucking activities on site
• Keep records, monitor drivers’ daily/weekly logs for errors or violations; monitor working hours and/or equipment availability
• Monitor shipping contractor invoicing and payments, maintain accurate shipping contractor log
• Determine permit requirements as necessary (based on material, etc.) and manage shipments including routes on site
• Manage the administrative process to complete appropriate paperwork, shipping/receiving documents
• Strong, professional communication skills required to work in a safety conscious work environment
• Experience on construction sites, infrastructure or rail-related construction projects preferred
