TRS Staffing has begun an Executive level search as we are seeking V.P. Engineering for a high-profile Canadian Mining company. Predominance in Gold Mining, this role is located in Toronto, ON.

Key Details

• Reporting directly to the company President and CEO, you will lead the Technical Services Teams focusing on designing new technical systems that will focus on increasing productivity while reducing overall production costs.
• Educated in Mining, Metallurgy, Geology or other relevant disciplines. Master level degrees in Mining and Business are considered beneficial
• PMP, Six Sigma, Leadership training - assets
• Qualified Person (NI 43-101) eligible
• Possess very strong operational experience having held key site based positions such as General Manager
• Ideally very strong in area of Underground mining. Open Pit is an asset
• Excellence in Mine Design experience (specifically Underground - mine design, stoping, mining technology…)
• Practitioner of the utilization of advanced mining technology and understanding of its benefits
• Strong experience in areas of Budgets and Project Controls
• Mine exploration experience is beneficial but not required
• As a key executive with the company, excellence in communication skills is required
• Strong preference will be given to those that are bilingual (English-Spanish)
• Travel of 25% - largely to Mexico but other regions as well
• Offering a very competitive and comprehensive compensation plan
