Warehouse Associate with Experience in the Manufacturing Sector

JOB SUMMARY:
The candidate in this role is to receive, input, sort, load and unload products and perform various warehouse activities. Adherence to quality and safety standards of the shop and surrounding areas is required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assemble packaging materials and packages per instructions and best judgment, in preparation for shipment
• Enter data pertaining to domestic and international shipments to the company’s ERP system and the shipping systems of commercial freight carriers
• Monitor the supply of packaging materials and requisition additional supplies as required
• Performs installation and dismantle of exhibit components in different configurations per order
• Read assembly specifications, such as charts, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and engineering specifications to determine requirements for each order
• Uses standardized tools, hand and electric and equipment to perform job duties
• Meets or exceeds quality and production quantity standards as directed by work orders and Supervisor
• Maintains housekeeping of personal work-space and surrounding area (including floors, workbench, tools, etc.) in a clean and well-organized manner
• Respond to customer service issues that relate to any of the above descriptions
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

MENTAL DEMANDS:
• Requires continuous concentration, alertness, and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMAND CLASSIFICATION:
• HEAVY: Occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
• Pushing/Pulling: Occasional pushing/pulling is required.
• Lifting/Carrying: Occasional lifting/carrying is required.
• Standing/Walking: Alternate standing and walking is performed occasionally.
• Climbing: Climbing is performed when the employee needs to climb onto a step stool to reach items.
• Bending/Stooping/Crouching: Forward torso bending, stooping and crouching may be preference of the worker when reaching or material handling at lowered work surfaces, and/or reaching for items on the lower shelves.
• Squatting/Kneeling: These techniques can be used by the employee when performing lifting, carrying, or with position tolerance tasks.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma/GED
• Basic computer skills with experience with project tracking software a plus
• 2-4 years of related experience
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift at least 70 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
• Experience with forklifts (certification preferred)
• Familiarity with FedEx, DHL, Freight companies and UPS shipping procedures
• Communicate effectively with others (Verbal and Written Skills)
• Work well in a cross functional team environment
• Must be dependable, self-motivated, and very organized
• Clearly understand written and verbal communication
• Effective work skills – conscientious, resourceful, productive and active.
