Warehouse / Materials Manager

We are currently looking for a Warehouse / Materials Manager to work as a contractor for approx. 1 year. Based in Bergen op Zoom, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement & construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.

Job description
The Material Management department is responsible for the management of all materials and includes the following sub-disciplines: Purchasing, Expediting, Inspection (SQS), Material Planning & Control, Logistics and Warehousing. Purchase Orders are placed with suppliers all over the world. They vary in size from a few thousand to several millions of Euros.

As a Warehouse Manager you will manage the receipt of materials and equipment from our suppliers, the storage in the warehouse and the release of material to the Contractors. You will work on the job-site and potentially in the pre-fabrication shop of our Contractors. On projects, you will report to the Project Material Manager. On the job site you may also directly report to the Construction Manager.

Tasks
• Show ownership of the material warehouse and are in full control of what comes-in and goes-out
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse including surrounding laydown areas.
• Contribute to the high Safety standards applicable on site and actively participate in the initiated HSE programs
• Manage and supervise all the incoming materials of the Suppliers in our Material Management system (MatMan).
• Issue Picking Tickets to the Contractors of all released material.
• Secure proper administration of the materials in the MatMan system.
• Manage the administration of all the associated certificates of the supplied equipment and bulk material.
• Provide the team with material availability analysis and reports
• Inventory management of the goods and documents
• Good knowledge of the overall work process of all disciplines.
• Analyze and monitor the progress with the MatMan system
• Review and assess physical (quality) appearance of the delivered equipment and bulk material.
• Potentially issue overage, shortage and/or damage reports to the Suppliers Initiate

Basic Requirements
• Extensive knowledge of Material Management.
• Preferably experience in the petrochemical and/or chemical industry
• Solid experience with computer systems/tools for management of material
• Ability to analyze complex information
• Basic understanding of Engineering and Engineering deliverables
• Good command (both verbally and written) of English

Other Job Requirements
