Our Approach
Phase 1: Governance and Needs Assessment
We established a Project Governance Board immediately after contract award. The board assessed the current state of the business and mapped a realistic pathway forward, acknowledging the relative immaturity of the programme while committing to continuous improvement over the full lifecycle of the engagement.
Our in-depth analysis of the business’s existing contingent talent acquisition processes identified three core problem areas: timecard authorisation failures causing payroll errors, a lack of real-time labour cost data, and fragmented sourcing with no centralised talent pool.
Phase 2: Rapid Timesheet Digitisation (90-Day Rollout)
We deployed Tempura, an electronic timesheet platform, across the entire contingent workforce within 90 days...
Phase 3: VMS Implementation and Real-Time Cost Analysis
As the programme grew beyond 300 workers, we recommended VMS options...
Phase 4: Blue-Collar Workforce Integration
As programme demands evolved, we identified a compelling case to bring the craft and blue-collar workforce onto the Fieldglass Flex platform...
Phase 2: VMS Implementation
With the MSP service live, TRS led the accelerated implementation of SAP Fieldglass, delivering the programme in 12 weeks, significantly faster than a typical implementation timeline.
The same project team and governance model were retained, ensuring continuity and pace throughout delivery.
Key Workstreams Delivered
- Process and System Design: Collaborative workshops aligned best practice with client requirements.
- System Configuration and UAT: Comprehensive testing ensured the solution met operational needs prior to go-live.
- Systems Integration: Automated integration ensured accurate processing of timesheets, payroll, and invoicing, with the VMS acting as the single source of truth.
- Communications and Training: Role-based training and clear communications supported adoption across hiring managers, workers, and suppliers.
- Data Migration: Contractor and assignment data was validated and migrated in partnership with SAP Fieldglass.
"The success of the programme came from balancing global consistency with local requirements. We worked closely with stakeholders across multiple countries to design processes that delivered greater visibility and control while remaining flexible enough to support local workforce needs. The result was a smooth implementation that established a strong foundation for future growth."
