TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Construction General Manager to work for one of Canada’s leading railway services and project solutions companies. This senior-level position is responsible for the successful delivery of complex transportation and industrial infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
 

• Promote inclusive leadership and support workforce development through coaching and mentorship.
• Oversee subcontractor selection, onboarding, and performance to meet safety and quality expectations.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to construction standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and cost control initiatives across all active projects.
• Drive innovation through modern construction technologies and methodologies.
• Negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and operational standards.
• Manage infrastructure construction projects across Western Canada, including transit systems, industrial track installations, and specialized civil works.
• Develop operational strategies that improve efficiency, mitigate risks, and support long-term growth.

Qualifications:
 

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, with 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience in transportation or rail-related infrastructure.
• Proven track record in contract management, client relations, and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of project delivery systems, regulatory frameworks, and construction standards.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is an asset.
