TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Specialist role to work for an amazing EPCM client in Vancouver, BC. This is a long-term contract position that comes with great opportunity to work on medium to large sized Mining projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract.
• Accumulate and compile accurate cost management data to prepare the project budget and update the progress of the project.
• Prepare the Develops cost control procedures, execution plan, and business plan for a project.
• Participate in weekly project cost reviews meetings.
• Develop and implement a basic change management system for engineering and construction.
• Develop and maintain Management, Project and Control level schedules.
• Identify trends and deviations, and recommend corrective courses of action.
• Maintain the established project cost program and prepare cost status reports.
• Provide meaningful, accurate historical data
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of experience in project cost control.
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Experience on large scale mining and/or oil and gas projects.
• Must have experience in EPC/EPCM environment.
• Good understanding and experience in multiple phases of project execution.
• Good knowledge of the engineering and construction industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
