TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for HSE Technical Specialist role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the office Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) program.
Lead regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
Deliver HSE training sessions and safety communications to employees.
Manage emergency response plans and ensure readiness across the office.
Chair the HSE committee and ensure follow‑up on action items.
Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend corrective measures.
Prepare and distribute HSE topics, safety alerts, and awareness materials.
Monitor updates to HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Promote a strong and proactive safety culture through engagement and leadership.
Develop HSE procedures for office operations and project teams.
Participate in value‑improvement and risk‑management workshops.
Track HSE performance, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
Requirements:
Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and communication skills.
Ability to manage relationships and lead HSE initiatives across teams.
Technical knowledge of HSE principles, risk management, and construction methodology.
Practical experience in construction environments with knowledge of design and industry standards.
University degree or college diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, and six years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience totaling ten years.
Professional HSE certification (e.g., CSP, NRSP, or equivalent).
Proven experience in health and safety within EPCM environment.
