Overview

Here is an exciting opportunity to join our client in Calgary, AB as an HVAC Design Engineer! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal.

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead HVAC Engineer with preparing HVAC design criteria and HVAC specifications based on applicable codes and standards.
Prepare HVAC design calculations and equipment/ductwork sizing calculations.
Review/check design drawings and 3D models produced by designers.
Develop data sheets, requisitions, and bid evaluations to support procurement activities for HVAC equipment and materials.
Review supplier drawings and data during detail design phase after PO award.
Coordinate and work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
5-10 years of experience with engineering and design of HVAC systems.
Canadian Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation in at least one province.
Knowledge and experience with the specification, design, bid evaluation, and support of vendors in the fabrication of HVAC equipment and systems.
Experience utilizing Revit software is required.
Knowledge of applicable codes and industrial standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, API, NFPA, etc).
