TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Material Controller role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry. 

Responsibilities:
 

• Develop and maintain material tracking plans aligned with project schedules and construction sequencing

• Monitor material quantities, including take-offs, usage tracking, and change management

• Coordinate with engineering and procurement to support material requisitions and delivery timelines

• Track material status (required, ordered, received) and maintain accurate reporting

• Identify potential shortages or risks and support forecasting and resolution efforts

• Collaborate with construction and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability

Qualifications
 

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in civil materials coordination, quantity tracking, or project support

• Experience interpreting drawings and working with material take-offs

• Strong Excel skills and experience managing large datasets or material reports

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, and construction teams

Preferred Qualifications
 

• Experience supporting infrastructure, industrial, or heavy civil projects

• Familiarity with material management or ERP systems

• Understanding of construction sequencing and material logistics workflows

• Experience with forecasting, reporting, or quantity reconciliation
