TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for an Electrical Estimator role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry. 

Responsibilities:
 

• Develop project‑specific estimating strategies, schedules, and work plans.
• Maintain and update cost models, rate databases, and estimating tools.
• Present estimate results, methodologies, and major cost drivers to project leadership.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and ensure proper scope integration.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate scope and align assumptions.
• Participate in estimate reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare detailed electrical estimates, including material takeoffs, labor requirements, and installation methodologies.
• Perform quality reviews on calculations, unit rates, and estimate completeness, support development of junior estimators.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and vendor data to ensure accurate quantities and cost assumptions.
• Preform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications
 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in estimating, project engineering, or construction.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and industrial project environments.
• Experience preparing estimates for large, multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation and translate designs into quantifiable cost elements.
• Skilled in communicating with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, suppliers, and construction personnel.
• Detail‑oriented, able to manage competing deadlines, and comfortable working in a dynamic, schedule‑driven environment.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and construction practices.
