TRS is working with a global mining company with a diversified portfolio of base‑ and precious‑metals operations in the Americas.

We are seeking a SITE GEOLOGIST who will support geological work programs including underground mapping, sampling, data capture/interpretation, and QA/QC to enable safe, efficient mine development and operational readiness.

Work Location: 14X14 Site‑based rotation at a Western Canada underground operation
Employment Type: Independent Contractor (long-term project assignment)
Hourly Rate: $60/hour

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and digitize underground geological data (scanning, mapping, sampling).
Provide geological inputs to mine design and development planning.
Collaborate with geotechnical teams on ground condition assessments.
Maintain and improve data systems and processes.
Support site geochemistry and water‑quality monitoring programs.
Contribute to models that inform mine planning and infrastructure.
Prepare plans/sections and underground structural interpretations.
Track/report geological and production data.
Uphold H&S standards and participate in site safety programs.

Qualifications:

BSc in Geology or related.
Prior geologist experience preferred (junior and GITs considered).
Underground geology exposure (3+ years) an asset.
Experience with industry‑standard modeling and planning software (e.g., Maptek, Deswik, Datamine) and digital scanning preferred.
Eligibility for professional registration an advantage.
Strong communication skills for technical reporting and operations.
