Logistics Coordinator

You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide, and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This candidate will be responsible for supervising mooring operations and will need to have a good understanding of safe operations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for reading an MV discharge plan and interface with the freight forwarder and the heavy haul team to plan the most time and cost-effective discharge plan.

Job Duties:
• Review Crane and rigging plans and interface with marine warrantee surveyor for sub-contractor deliveries
• Coordinate with freight forwarder on day-to-day freight delivering to project site and ensure the volumes meet the commitments of the project
• Ensure cargo delivered to site is maximized to reduce overall freight volumes
• Issue SRN to carriers for local pick up and deliveries while scheduling and reporting daily freight volumes to security to allow gate entry
• Supervise cargo operations with freight forwarder to ensure safe and time effective discharge
• Coordinate marine activities with the marine contractor for small vessel activities
• Review and comment on work method statements as they relate to cargo operations

Qualifications:
• Proficient in the use of specialized software programs.
• 5 to 7 years of project-related experience with marine background
• 10 years experience in logistics
• Crane and rigging experience
