TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Piping Stress Technical Specialist role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform stress and flexibility analysis to ensure piping systems meet industry codes and project-specific requirements.
  • Review and approve design documentation, including P&IDs, isometric drawings, and layout plans.
  • Design and specify pipe supports such as spring hangers, struts, and expansion joints to maintain system integrity.
  • Conduct hydraulic and vibration analysis to optimize flow conditions and prevent mechanical failures.
  • Develop and review material specifications, data sheets, and technical evaluations for piping components.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME, CSA, and API throughout all engineering activities.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and calculations to support project deliverables and engineering decisions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing input across design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to piping stress, vibration, and structural integrity.

Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in piping stress analysis and design.
  • Proficiency in stress analysis software.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, CSA, API).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in project management and coordination is a plus.
